Health and Community Services

Health and Community Services (formerly Adult Care Services) is responsible for the council's older people, physical disability, learning disability and mental health services. It ensures a comprehensive approach to commissioning services to improve health and wellbeing.

The department is also responsible for customer and library services.

Sarah Pickup is the director of Health and Community Services and has statutory responsibility for the provision of adult social services in Hertfordshire.

She is supported by five assistant directors:

  • Earl Dutton, Services for older people and physically disabled people
  • Sue Darker, Services for people with learning disabilities or mental health problems
  • Jess Lievesley, Community commissioning
  • Iain MacBeath, Performance and business support
  • Taryn Pearson, Customer services and libraries
