Standards Committee

The County Council's Standards Committee is responsible for:

• promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct by County Councillors, co-opted members and church & parent governor representatives
• assisting those members to observe the Councillors' Code of Conduct and arranging appropriate training
• advising the Council on the revision of the Code
• monitoring the operation of the code
• granting dispensations from requirements relating to declaration of interests
• dealing with reports from a case tribunal or from the Monitoring Officer (Kathryn Pettitt, Chief Legal Officer)
