My front-line role
I am the Conservative County Councillor for Borehamwood North division. The ‘Your Community’ section provides local service information, news, events, and contacts about the area.
I represent the interests of around 15,000 residents of the communities in Borehamwood North and I work with the local borough and town councils to help resolve local issues.
As is the case with every County Councillor, I have a locality budget of £10,000 a year to spend on community projects in the division. Follow the links for more details of the scheme and details of application have previously agreed and declined.
My County Council responsibilities
Since being elected in a by-election in October 2009 I have sat on various Cabinet panels. I currently sit on the Children’s Services & Corporate Parenting and Education & Skills Cabinet Panels.
Roles on outside bodies
I sit on various outside bodies and organisations. I am a governor at Little Geddings School (Bushey), the Chaplain to Herts Police and Luton Airport, a member of V.P. Jewish Care and Norwood Council.
Personal, professional and political details
I have been a minister of religion in Borehamwood, Elstree and District for 35 years, helping to develop the area as a cohesive community. I received a rabbinicial diploma from Gateshead and have since completed courses in mediation, bereavement, child development and child protection.
