Bishop's Stortford Registration Office

Situated in the old market town of Bishop's Stortford, the Registration Office is accommodated in this charming mock-Tudor building next to the River Stort.

The office offers the ideal situation for guests travelling from afar, and for the happy couple wanting a quick getaway after the ceremony! As it’s just a few minutes walk from the railway station, which has a direct line to Liverpool Street, and is only five minutes drive from both the M11 and Stansted Airport.

There are two ceremony rooms but unfortunately, due to the nature of this historic building, we are not able to provide facilities for the disabled

The Tudor Room, located upstairs, can accomodate up to seventy guests and has been decorated and furnished to complement the magnificent oak beams and feature fireplace.

The groundfloor Georgian Room is suitable for the smaller ceremony. It is decorated in subtle shades and can accommodate up to twenty guests.

Castle Gardens opposite the register office, or our own well established sunken garden adjacent, are both ideal settings for photographs.

Our team at Bishop's Stortford are keen to assist you in the planning of your special day, from the music as the guests enter the room, the readings, music and personalised vows during the ceremony, to the shower of confetti as you depart.

Limited parking is available outside the Registration Office. There are public car parks within walking distance.
