Getting Married in a Hertfordshire Registration Office

Hertfordshire has eight Registration Offices with professional registration staff to advise you. Please contact them to discuss your choices for your special day.

In all our offices it is now possible to hold a ceremony outside normal working hours including Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Bank Holidays. For this option contact the office of your choice and staff will advise you of the room hire charge and attendance fee.

As soon as you have decided on your preferred options contact the office to reserve the date and time for your marriage.

You will be advised of the requirements for your formal notice of marriage.

  • Bishop's Stortford Registration Office

    Situated in the old market town of Bishop's Stortford, the Registration Office is accommodated in this charming mock-Tudor building next to the River Stort.

  • Broxbourne Registration Office

    The beautifully appointed Octagonal Room sits at the heart of Bishop's College, a former theological college founded by Dowager Countess of Huntingdon in the Eighteenth Century.

  • Dacorum Registration Office

    The Dacorum Registration Office is located at The Bury, in Hemel Hempstead, a 17th century house set in very attractive grounds. It contains one of Hertfordshire's most popular ceremony rooms.

  • Hatfield Register Office

    People wishing to hold a ceremony at Hertfordshire Register Office Hatfield can now choose from three ceremony rooms suitable for 12 to 100 guests.

  • Hertford Registration Office

    We are delighted to offer the choice of two rooms for your ceremony; The Oak Room which seats 70 guests and is available 7 days a week, and the Council Chamber which has a capacity of 200, is only available at weekend and incurs a hire fee in addition to the standard cost.

  • Stevenage Registration Office

    For a day to remember why not choose to have your ceremony at Stevenage Registration Office. The Registration Office is centrally located in the New Town, close to the railway and bus stations. By road it is only minutes from the main A1M and is well served by local roads to all the nearest big towns.

  • Watford Registration Office

    The Orangery at 31 Hempstead Road, Watford is now home to the Watford Registration Office. It is part of the historic Little Cassiobury site with excellent road and public transport access.
