Births, deaths, ceremony and citizenship service

Hertfordshire Registration & Citizenship Service delivers birth, death, marriage and civil partnership registrations, ceremonial services for civil marriages, civil partnerships (same sex partnerships), civil namings, civil funerals and renewal of vows plus citizenship ceremonies, nationality checking service (NCS), settlement checking service (SCS) and change of name deeds service.

Registration services are available in our offices in Watford, Stevenage, Hatfield, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, Cheshunt and Bishop's Stortford. Citizenship services are available at the Citizenship Unit in Hatfield.

NEW SERVICE AVAILABLE - The Hertfordshire Registration Service offers an innovative service called, Tell Us Once. The service aims to reduce the number of local and central government departments that you have to notify when you have had a baby or beareavement. Tell Us Once is delivered straight after a birth or death registration, so you don't even need to leave the register office to notify key government departments of the change in your circumstances.
