The Hertfordshire Sustainable Funding Fair 2012 was held on Wednesday 17th October was attended by representatives from over 300 voluntary/community groups and provided an opportunity to find out about new and existing funding and support services available to groups in Hertfordshire. Funding the East - A message to the voluntary and community sector
24 funders, £80 million,1 message...

In early 2011 a group of funding organisations met for the first time in Cambridge to share their experiences and examine how they could work more closely together to maximise their investment across the East of England, in response to challenging economic conditions and funding cuts that threatened local voluntary and community sector development.
This has now resulted in a short publication listing 24 organisations with a joint annual investment of more than £80million into the charitable sector here in the East, and confirms that despite the current economic downturn funding is available for organisations and projects that make a real difference to our communities and the lives of local people. In fact many funders have actually increased the amount of money that they have available in recognition of the tough times that the sector is facing.
