All planned roadworks and diversion routes in Hertfordshire are visible on a map.

Hertfordshire County Council is not responsible for all roadworks undertaken in the county. The company responsible will be indicated when you click on the individual roadworks on the map.
If a road is closed then the diversion route will be indicated on the map.
Sometimes emergency repairs need to be made without prior notification to HCC. A gas leak or burst water main would need an emergency response. There will be a delay in information being published if this occurs. We provide more detail about major Emergency road closures where needed. Unplanned works such as responses to publicly reported faults will not be visible here.
You can search for what major works we have planned in the current and next financial year on the Highways Future Planned Works map or on roadworks.org by selecting the 'Map Layers' menu in the top left, then 'Operational Info' and then 'Forward Planning Works'. This also shows future utility works.
You can zoom straight to a district by typing in the name St Albans in this example http://stalbans.roadworks.org or http://eastherts.roadworks.org
Please use the Highway Fault Reporting link to alert us of issues with roadworks signs and barriers.
