Welcome to School Admissions & Transport
Going to a new school is a very important step for your child. Hertfordshire County Council wants to make the process of applying for a school place as easy as possible for parents and carers. The information on these pages is intended to guide you through the application and allocation process.
Applications for September 2014
If you would like to make a new application for a place to start in September 2014 you will now need to make an In Year application. The Primary and Secondary application processes have finished. If you would like to remain on the continuing interest list for any schools, you will need to make an In Year application.
For information about nursery school places please see the Early Years and Childcare 'Nursery Admissions 2014-15' webpage.
In Year Applications
In year applications are where children wish to change school outside the usual transfer period. The process for applying for In Year admissions has changed in the last few years and you should carefully read the information on the In Year admissions page.
