Directions to the library by road and public transport.

How to find us:

The library is part of the Jackson Square Shopping Centre which is above the library. There is a sign directing people to the library from the Jackson Square Centre.

By Road

From the M11 and the A120 east
Leave the motorway at Junciton 8 and take the A1250 towards the town centre. Continue ahead at the traffic lights and the next roundabout. Turn left at the next roundabout (the library is now on your left) and then turn right to reach the car park.


From the south (Harlow and Sawbridgeworth) Follow the A1184 into Bishops Stortford. Go straight on at the mini roundabout (Total garage ahead) and continue ahead to reach some traffic lights. Continue ahead to the next traffic lights, then turn right. Immediately after the pedestrian crossing, turn left to reach the car park.

From the A10 and the A120 west
At the roundabout on the outskirts of the town take the second exit (A1250) towards the town centre. Continue ahead crossing three mini roundabouts to reach a larger roundabout (Nissan garage on the left). Bear right at this roundabout, and continue to the next roundabout. Turn right here and then turn right again to reach the car park.

All car parks in Bishops Stortford are pay and display.


Public transport
Bishops Stortford Station and the bus Interchange
Turn right out of the station and then turn left at the road, passing the bus Interchange on the left. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and continue over the bridge. Turn right and continue, passsing the back of Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer, to reach the junction of The Causeway. The Library is now on your left.
By bus
Most buses stop at the Interchange, (see above).
