3Style Festival of Music for Young People

Venue: Batchwood Hall, Batchwood Drive, St Albans.

Date: Sunday 20th July.

Time: 12.00pm-7.00pm.

Organised by the Hertfordshire Children’s Trust Partnership, the 3Style event was a huge success last year when it was staged in Broxbourne, East Hertfordshire. This year it will take place at Batchwood Hall, St Albans on 20th July.

Bands have been selected by a panel of young people, who were keen to ensure something to please a wide variety tastes. The line up has now been announced and includes talented bands from all corners of Hertfordshire. There will be 2 stages and a separate DJ hall where some of the best DJs in the county will be mixing sounds.

This festival is steered and run by young people. There is more than just the music going on, and some of the young people taking part are gaining useful experience in areas such as stage management, photography and lighting.

The event will be alcohol-free, and admission is free of charge. All young people aged 13-19 - or up to 25 for those with a learning difficulty or disability - are welcome. Doors open at midday and close at 7pm.

If you can help promote the festival and would like some leaflets or posters, please contact Karen England on 01992 531977.
