Summary Hitchin Boys' School Sports Centre

HBS Sports Centre is situated in Grammar School Walk, Hitchin. It is a lottery-funded initiative and the facilities provided by this centre are for the use of the school and community.

The centre is open on Mondays-Fridays 6.00pm-10.30pm;
Saturdays and Sundays 9.30am-10.00pm (term time).
It is open for longer weekday periods during school holidays.

The office is manned on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.

The centre's key sports are Badminton and Table Tennis but also feature Basketball, Cricket and Trampoline. There is also a training and meeting room available for hire to clubs and companies.

There is a timetable of organised activities available including:-
* champion coaching - badminton;
* junior table tennis;
* junior coaching/clubs;
* coaching courses;
* Pilates;
* Tennis & Netball Facilities;
* DMT;
* karate and Thai kick boxing;
* trampoline clubs for children and adults;
* basketball;
* parties;
* boxercise and keep fit classes;
* soft play sessions for pre-school children.

The centre also helps plan childrens' birthday parties and offers a selection of activities including multi-sports, fitkid themes, weight watchers, music makers fencing courses and short tennis.

Catering Facilities: Kitchen facilities. Snacks and soft drinks available.

Costs: Various prices for different activities.

Badminton court £7.52 Adult £5.73, Junior;
Table Tennis £6.53 Adult, £5.23 Junior;
Hall Hire £28.28 Adult, £23.17 Junior.

Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 6.00pm-10.30pm;
Saturday/Sunday 9.30am-10.00pm (term time).
Longer weekday periods during the school holidays.

Accessibility: Wheelchair access; Changing/shower/toilet facilities; and Lift to first floor.

Facilities: Public car parking in staff car park from 5.45pm weekdays and weekends.
