St Leonard's Church (Bengeo)
St Leonards Church is a good example of an unspoiled Norman village church, dating from about 1120. It is now the oldest building in Hertford.
Services: Whitsunday to the end of September, as advertised locally.
There are occasional concerts and recitals, and other events organised by The Friends of St Leonard's.
The church is open to visitors on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, 2.30pm-5.00pm, June to September. Other times are by appointment.
