The aim of the project is to provide boating experiences for families, children, young people and adults with a rage of disabilities, impairments and difficulties, along with their families and/or carers, on local inland waterways. They also cater for youth and community groups, (with or without disabilities). The project has a range of holiday and day hire available. For more information see the web site or for a brochure contact them by phone. The project currently has four boats:

'Stort Challenger' is a custom-fitted wide-beam canal boat available for holiday hire for up to 12 passengers with or without a crew as necessary.

'Red Watch' is a wide beam 60 foot boat with wheelchair access forward of the main cabin a fully equipped and accessible galley. It has recently been refurbished. The boat can accommodate 12 people in five separate cabins for holiday hire and is particularly suited to families.

'Dawn Treader' is a 35 foot day boat with disabled toilet. It has a lift for ease of access and a small galley sufficient for small hot and cold snacks and hot drinks.

'Stort Daybreak' - The Projects new day boat, launched in 2007, has been specially commissioned to cater for disabled people with access to all parts of the boat. It is spacious with controls to allow disabled users to steer the boat, either from inside the cabin or on deck. It has a day bed and two accessible toilet facilities including a wet room and shower.

The Project is based in Burnt Mill Lane, Harlow on the River Stort and can be used to explore the Rivers Stort and Lee.

Boats are available self-steer (training provided) or they will supply volunteer skippers and crew if required .

The project is affiliated to the National Community Boat Association.
