Hemel Hempstead Gateway Club 2000 meets on alternate Tuesday evenings at the Jarman Adult Training Centre, Old Crabtree Lane, HP2 1EX (not to be confused with Jarman Park!).
Our objectives are to provide social and leisure opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. We provide members with a safe, supportive and happy club where they can meet friends and have fun whilst giving parents and carers a short break.
We have a regular membership of about 40 members aged between 18 and 70+ taking part in a varied programme of activities which includes indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, bingo, quiz evenings, karaoke and disco. Outing to local pub/restaurant, summer picnics feature in the summer programme.
We have a longstanding partnership with the Dacorum arts Education Team who provide Arts workshops. We have just produced our second film with the Team and look forward to continuing to work with them.
