Community Alarm systems are panic alarms (sometimes called Piper Lifeline alarms) installed in a person's home, so the resident can call for help in an emergency. The person usually wears a pendant around their neck or clipped to their clothes, with a button they can press. The button rings the community alarm control centre, who can call emergency services, or alert someone who holds a key to go to the home to help.
