During November 2006 thousands of solicitors nationwide are offering to make or update your will without charge. Instead, they ask for you to consider making a donation to Will Aid: a group of major charities helping people in the world's poorest countries. The suggested donation is £75 for a straight- forward will, £110 for a couple's matching wills.

All donations are divided between the charities in the partnership: ActionAid, British Red Cross, Sight Savers International, Christian Aid, Save the Children, SCIAF (Scotland), and Trocaire (N. Ireland), NSPCC, Help The Aged.
