Our performance

The Government require all local authorities to publish information on their performance. In the past we have produced a Best Value Performance Plan to do this, but we are now providing this information in appendices to our Corporate Plan.

One of the appendices reports our performance against a set of national indicators known as Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs). This enables the Government to compare our performance with that of other local authorities. The information is checked by the Audit Commission which acts as an independent watchdog for local authorities.
