What you will get out of it? What are the benefits of volunteering
Volunteering gives you a chance to share your skills and talents with the community. It will also help you to develop new skills and abilities, meet new people and give something back to society. It can also provide you with a very useful stepping-stone on the way to paid employment. Everyone volunteers for different reasons; below are just a few of the benefits of volunteering . . .

1. Have Fun! Many volunteers are surprised at how much fun it can be to help others. Not every volunteer experience is the same, but by finding an opportunity that matches your interests, you should have lots of fun.

2. Build your confidence? Many volunteers encounter a variety of new challenges when they begin giving time in their communities. By sharing new experiences with new people, you can learn new skills that can give you confidence to face challenges in other areas of your life.

3. Meet new friends? There’s no better place to meet likeminded individuals than through volunteering for a campaign or cause you enjoy and believe in. Working together to bring about a change is a great way to bond with others and become part of a community that can stay in touch long after your work is done.

4. Boost your career options. Volunteering can help you develop new skills. Recent statistics show that 73% of employers would employ a candidate with volunteering experience over one without and 94% of employers believe that any type of volunteering can add skills.
