How can I become a volunteer?

Your best route into volunteering is through your local Volunteer Centre. There you will be able to get information on many interesting volunteering opportunities before making any decisions. Many Volunteer Cerntres also have their own web sites where you can find out more about volunteering, and find links to other relevant sites.

Volunteer Centres across the county place their volunteering opportunities onto the national volunteering database on the do-it web site. This makes it easy to check out the sort of voluntary jobs which may suit you - all you need to do is enter your postcode and interests, and you’ll probably be amazed by the range of opportunities on offer!

Registering for a voluntary opportunity online is now possible through the do-it site. Your details will be automatically emailed to the appropriate volunteer centre and they will respond to your offer of help as soon as possible.
