CSF Guidance to the Children's Targeted Services Fund 2008-2009

Background

Children Schools and Families recognises and values the significant contribution that Third Sector organisations make towards improving outcomes for Hertfordshire's children, young people and families. We want to work with the Third Sector to improve outcomes for all children, young people and families, and in particular we want to focus our funding on improving the life chances of children and families who are particularly disadvantaged and vulnerable. Therefore our overarching theme for the 2008/09 Children's Targeted Services Fund is Narrowing the Gap...Reducing inequalities.

The fund plays a key role in delivering prevention and early intervention for children and young people who are most in need of support services. The fund is targeted at Third Sector organisations delivering services for those aged 0-19 (25 for young people with disabilities).
