Targeted Support for the Voluntary Sector
Children Schools and Families recognises and values the significant contribution that Voluntary Community Sector organisations make towards improving outcomes for Hertfordshire's children, young people and families.
We want to work with the Voluntary Community Sector to improve outcomes for all children, young people and families, and in particular we want to focus our funding on improving the life chances of children and families who are particularly disadvantaged and vulnerable. Therefore our overarching theme for the
2009/10 Children's Targeted Services Fund is
Narrowing the Gap...Reducing inequalities.
The fund plays a key role in delivering prevention and early intervention for children and young people who are most in need of support services. The fund is targeted at the Voluntary Community Sector organisations delivering services for those aged 0-19 (25 for young people with disabilities).
Voluntary Community Sector organisations are also reminded to review the information, advice and guidance about possible alternative sources of funding including a range of funding search tools provded by the Herts External Resources Network that can be found by following the link on this page under 'Also on hertsdirect'.
