Integrated Risk Management Plan 2004/05

In June 2003, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) published a White paper proposing the modernisation and reform of the fire service in England and Wales. One of the main themes contained in the paper was to ensure Fire Authorities allocated their resources on the basis of risk and publish the details of their proposals for change in an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP).
In summary, it is our aim to reduce the risk to the community through Prevention, Protection, and with timely and effective Intervention.
Prevention – By educating and informing you about safety awareness
Protection – By working to ensure you are safe in your home and at work
Intervention – By helping you in an emergency
