How a Complaint can be made

Complaints may be made by the recipient of a service or by someone acting on their behalf.

Anonymous complaints against the Service will not normally be considered. However, the Chief Fire Officer has the discretion to consider such complaints if, in his judgement, this is warranted.

This procedure provides for three levels or stages at which a complaint can be considered.

Stage 1 The Informal/Problem Solving stage.

Stage 2 A Formal Complaint

Stage 3 Formal Appeal/Review

Note: A complaint can be considered at more than one of these stages.
