Welcome to the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Community Safety Plan 2007 Onwards.
This plan sets out how Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue service will work to ensure the safety of its residents from fire and other emergencies.
This plan was recently open to a 13 week consultation for comment on the draft plan, and was then agreed by Council members at Cabinet on the 17th December 2007. It sets out the strategic aims of the service, and also includes the most recent Integrated Risk Management Plan which outlines and analyses local risk and how the services resources will be deployed.
County Councillor Richard Smith, Executive Member for Community Safety, said: “One of the Service’s strategic aims is to provide a quality service that will achieve its vision of creating a safer community where there are no preventable deaths, injuries or damage from fires.”
“The Service already has a number of initiatives to achieve this, however the plan sets out how the Service can further protect county residents from fires in the workplace and in their own homes.”

The Service Action Plan will be updated quarterly to reflect our progress. The Q1 update was received by the Strategic Leadership Group (SLG) on the 30th July and they continue to monitor the progress of projects on an ongoing basis.
