Results from the Key Statistics are produced in the form of a series of 24 tables providing key data for the following geographic areas: national, regional, local authorities, electoral wards, output areas, health areas, UK parliamentary constituencies, civil parishes, postcode sectors and urban areas. Results for settlements (i.e. towns, villages, hamlets etc.) in Hertfordshire have been derived by HCC. The topics covered in the Key Statistics are shown in the list below.
Results for local authorities, wards and parishes in Hertfordshire from all 24 Key Statistics tables have been published below. Results for County Council electoral divisions have been derived from the results for wards and output areas and are available for all tables except for Table KS24. Results for settlements in Hertfordshire have been derived from the results for output areas and are available for all tables except for Table KS24. The settlement data here is based on settlements as defined by HCC not the ONS definitions.
In order to meet the confidentiality thresholds for census data Key Statistics Tables have only been published for those areas with at least 100 residents and 40 households. To meet the demand for information for the many smaller rural communities, simpler "Profiles" have been released for parish areas with at least 50 residents and 20 households. "Headcounts" of residents, males, females, and households have been released for all parish areas. These profiles and headcounts are also available below.
Summaries of some of the main statistics from these tables have been published as demographic profiles for Hertfordshire, each of the ten district council areas, 193 electoral wards, 126 civil parishes, 77 electoral divisions and 228 settlements in Hertfordshire. The settlement data is based on settlements as defined by HCC. The profiles include statistics on ethnic breakdown, religion, households and economic activity.
