Children, Schools and Families Service Plan 2005/08 (and new 2007 Supplement)

Children, Schools and Families Service Plan 05 - 08 front coverwww.hertsdirect.org/csfplan

The Children, Schools and Families (CSF) Service has developed a strategic plan which brings together all the council’s major service plans for children. It covers the period April 2005 to March 2008 and is updated annually.

The links below set out the revised objectives for the sixth year of the Plan (the 2007 Supplement), along with the existing 2005/08 Plan.

Since the creation of CSF, the service has developed a new operational framework to make sure it is in a strong position to respond to national proposals for the reform of the children's services and the requirements of the Children Act.

This interim 2007 Supplement (the second of its kind) is now intended to cover the period April 2007 and March 2008, and provides an update on how CSF priorities and actions have changed in light of:
    - Adjustments to CSF priorities, underpinning actions or officers responsible for their implementation between 2006/07 and 2007/08
    - Priorities identified in the Children and Young People’s Plan 2006/09 and the subsequent Children and Young People’s Plan 2007/08 Update, ‘One Year On’
    - An increased focus on the effectiveness and performance of the CSF social care function, as identified in the Annual Performance Assessment 2006

This April 2007 Supplement is intended as an interim update only, to ensure the CSF Service Plan is updated for the launch of the 2007/08 financial year, and complements the launch of the Children and Young People’s Plan 2007/08 Update, ‘One Year On’. The CYPP sets a wider, Children’s Trust Partnership focus on how services are delivered to children and young people across Hertfordshire and it is important that the CSF Service Plan demonstrates how CSF is contributing exactly towards relevant CYPP commitments and priorities.

The CYPP can be accessed by clicking the signpost on the right-hand side of this page.
