Have Your Say - making comments, compliments and complaints (CSF)

If you are unhappy about some aspect of our service within CSF, or want to make a comment about it - either good or bad - we want to hear from you. It helps us check that we are providing the best service we can.
There are times when compliments are received and we make sure these are shared with the staff concerned. Our leaflet 'Having Your Say - a guide to making comments, compliments and complaints' will guide you further.
If you do wish to complain to Children, Schools and Families, there are several ways of doing this.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Contact the service involved, firstly by telling the person who is working with you or if they are unable to help, via their manager.
  2. Contact the Complaints Manager, Tim Hood, at Customer Focus.
  3. Write to the Complaints Manager, Tim Hood, or the County Secretary's (Andrew Laycock's) Office.
  4. Write to the Local Government Ombudsman.

Complaining about an admission appeal or exclusion appeal

    Contact Customer Focus.
Customer Focus can be contacted at csf.cft@hertscc.gov.uk, by telephone on 01992 588542 or in writing to Room 164, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Hertford SG13 8DF
