Participation strategy and toolkit

The participation strategy aims to ensure that, by the end of March 2009, participation, consultation and involvement are embedded within:

• the values and strategies of children’s and young people’s workforce agencies
• the development and training of any workforce agency dealing with children and young people
• all commissioning activities

To achieve this, children, young people and their parents and carers will be trained and developed so that they can play a part in the design, running, monitoring and evaluation of services.
