Aims, visions and objectives
"Making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people"
The Hertfordshire Children's Trust Partnership brings together organisations from across the county to achieve better outcomes for children and young people.
Our vision is for all children and young people in Hertfordshire to enjoy a happy, healthy and safe childhood that prepares them well for adult life and enables them to reach their full potential. Children and young people should be valued members of society, whose achievements and contributions are welcomed and celebrated.
Children’s trusts all have a strong emphasis on communication, sharing information and working together in order to achieve the five outcomes. These were identified in the Government’s Every Child Matters green paper as being important to all children and young people, regardless of their background or circumstances. They are:
- Being healthy
- Staying safe
- Enjoying and achieving
- Making a positive contibution
- Achieving economic wellbeing
HCTP's key objectives are:
1. To ensure that agencies work together effectively to improve the wellbeing of children and young people aged 0-19 in Hertfordshire.
2. To ensure better outcomes and better life experiences for children and young people in Hertfordshire.
3. To ensure that robust inter-agency governance and accountability arrangements are in place.
