 Children and Young People's Plan 2009-2011

Building on the progress made during the last year, the Children and Young People’s Plan 2009-2011 continues to focus on two key areas for improvement – ‘Safeguarding children and young people’; and ‘Narrowing the gap between vulnerable children and all children’.  Across these themes, 12 priorities have been identified for improving outcomes for children and young people.

In addition to the ten priorities outlined in last year’s plan, two new areas of work have been included: ‘Children and young people thrive in spite of family poverty’ reflects the Hertfordshire Children’s Trust Partnership’s (HCTP) commitment to tackling child poverty while ‘Children and young people keep on the right track’ will coordinate the HCTP’s support to those exposed to the risk of, or already engaged in, harmful behaviour.
