The Emergency Planning Team consists of two smaller teams, the County Council Emergency Planning Team (EPT) and the District EPT. In addition to their separate responsibilities, both teams are responsible for multi-agency work within Hertfordshire Resilience and representing the County Council in any response to an emergency.
County Council Emergency Planning Team
The County Council EPT works with departments within HCC to ensure departmental emergency plans are in place to allow the County Council to fully play its part in the multi-agency response to an incident. This team also has a key role in advising and training within the County Council as an organisation.
District Emergency Planning Team
The District EPT provides a traded service to Hertfordshire’s District and Borough councils. The team assists in the preparation and maintenance of business continuity arrangements and in the development of response plans for emergencies. The team also run a range of relevant training events for district and borough council staff.
