Commissioning Intentions for Mental Health Services for Older People

A new commissioning strategy for Mental Health Services for Older People is being drafted over the next few months. A draft framework will be published in July 2007. It is planned that the strategy will link with and become part of a wider strategy for Older People across Hertfordshire.

The Strategic Commissioning Group for Older People is being reviewed with new terms of reference to drive forward the planning and dvelopment of Mental Health Services for Older People in Hertfordshire and to ensure that services are co-ordinated with all other stakeholders. The membership of the group includes representation from commissioners, health and social care and representatives of service users.

Over the next few months the group will set out it's key objectives, priorities and principles. Once formally agreed, these will be published.
