• There is an ongoing increase in numbers of people in treatment.
• We have consulted with users and carers and involved them in planning and commissioning services.

• We are developing a service user advocacy service.

• We are developing a comprehensive harm reduction strategy for Hertfordshire.

• We are improving access into treatment for specific groups including black and ethnic minorities, homeless clients, clients in rural communities and travellers.

• We are ensuring all clients who enter structured treatment are given a comprehensive care plan, health check and risk assessment.

• We are ensuring that local treatment services respond to local needs.
