Recording and data accuracy
This is important both for evidencing the delivery of services to individual users and carers and for providing an accurate picture of how we are performing as a service and what we should be planning for in the future.
We will ensure that:
- An up-to-date record of each service user’s assessment, care plan, services delivered and review exists
- Every service user has a copy of their plan
- The data on our electronic records is accurate
- New technology is utilised to improve recording of data (e.g. digital pens)
- Clear information and support is available for our managers to enable them to use new technology and to monitor performance
We have recently implemented an electronic client record system to improve our ability to meet this priority and will be implementing electronic care records.
We are also piloting the use of new technology to make it easier to take electronic records during visits so that individuals will have an instant record of their care plans.
