Our values and principles

We have based our adult care services on a set of values and principles which can be summarised as:
  • Treating everyone with respect, recognising and valuing their backgrounds and beliefs.
  • Treating people fairly and making sure anyone who feels they have not been treated fairly is able to complain about the standard of service they receive.
  • Being an organisation that learns through listening and responding to people’s comments.
  • Putting a high priority on effective communications, keeping our users and carers informed and regularly asking people for their views so that we can improve our services.
  • Working in partnership with other organisations, to provide high quality, integrated services.

We will work in a way that:
  • puts the users of our services at the centre of all we do
  • supports people within their own communities
  • enables people to live as independently as possible
  • values and supports our staff

“The professionalism and understanding of the team were excellent, very respectful and understanding of our position at the time. We have had an excellent service from your department.”
