Adult Care Services and you
"When people are worried about themselves or someone they care for they can contact us", says Sarah Pickup, director of Adult Care Services. "We work closely with health services, district councils and other agencies to help Hertfordshire residents who are elderly and frail, physically disabled or have learning disabilities, and their carers, find ways of managing better."We do this by:
- Assessing needs - asking about your circumstances and the things you are worried about.
- Giving information and advice about equipment and services that can make lives easier.
- Arranging support for those who would be at risk without it.
- Helping people to live as independently as possible
