Support for people with mental health problems

The Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust has provided integrated health and care services since December 2001.

The council social care staff who specialised in mental health services have now been transferred to the Trust to work alongside NHS colleagues, providing support around the clock to ensure the safety and security of this vulnerable group of people and their carers.

Staff provide support to help manage everyday living; organise activities, employment and training to build self-confidence; and give encouragement to become part of the local community and be more independent.
