The service user may not have to pay, as the charge may be passed on to the statutory, voluntary, private agencies or locality Primary Care Trust, under guidelines set out in the Disability Discrimination Act (1995).
The Department for Work and Pensions may cover the costs of a Language Service Professional (LSP) in the workplace through ‘Access to Work’.
The cost will depend on the qualification level of the LSP required, the duration of support and the location. We only can give a clear indication of the cost after a request has been received.
N.B. Some assignments may require two LSPs and therefore additional fees would be charged.
