Residential and nursing home care

Residential care homes provide personal care and social support for people who are not able to manage living in their own homes. Nursing care homes look after people who need constant nursing care.

The care homes may be run privately, by voluntary organisations (including charities) as non-profit making businesses, by local authorities, or by the health service.

There is no obligation to contact Adult Care Services - you can make your own arrangements.
