Services for the Gypsy and local communities

Hertfordshire County Council's Gypsy Section has been in existence for over 30 years. The present team of 12 staff manages and maintains accommodation for around 200 families on 10 permanent and one transit site. These services are funded from the rents collected from these sites.

The gypsy community also provides sites for itself.

If you have any comments or concerns, please call: 01707 897367.

IMPORTANT: These pages are a summary of services available for gypsies in Hertfordshire. Full information is in a leaflet, which can be viewed online, or you can order copies. Please use the Adult Care Services Publications link and navigate to the Standards section.
