Specialist team - younger people with dementia

A service for people under 65 who live in St Albans and Dacorum and have been diagnosed as having early onset of dementia is based in Dacorum. The service, which is jointly managed by Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust and Adult Care Services, works very closely with the Alzheimer's Society.

The aim is to help younger people with dementia to enjoy an active life in their community for as long as they are able.

Referrals to this specialist service are usually made initially by your GP. Referrals may also come through Adult Care Services.
