People who are deaf, hard of hearing or sight impaired

From advising people where to find information and advice to ‘buddy’ systems which support people at work, we do all we can to help people with disabilities get the most out of life and to help family carers. In particular, we aim to give people greater choice and personal control over their own care arrangements.

Providing specialist equipment can enable people to continue living in their own homes. We also have a specialist rehabilitation team that advises and supports people with a sight impairment and those experiencing difficulties at work through reduced vision.

For deaf people, sign interpreters are available when appropriate.
