What help and support can I get when I apply for direct payments?
If you want to apply for direct payments, or receive them already, help and support is available from the Leonard Cheshire Direct Payments Support Scheme. This is an independent, voluntary agency that can advise and support you with things such as:
- Preparing for an assessment of your needs.
- Looking at different ways of living as independently as possible.
- Getting direct payments and other funding to pay for personal assistance.
- Recruiting and employing personal assistants.
- Buying services from agencies.
