Supporting People accommodation services for young people

The implementation phase of the Accommodation Services for Young People Programme is now well under way with the new service model for accommodation and support services for young people being put in place to be operational by June 2008.

It has been agreed that three elements of the service model should be repackaged and branded as “Homeless Prevention and Support Services for Young People” The services included under this heading were described in the initial service model as:

• Advice, information and mediation
• Young Person’s Floating Support Scheme
• Crisis Intervention (Crashpad)
