Value for money policy for Supporting People

A key element of the Supporting People service review process is the assessment of Value for Money (VfM) and eligibility for every service funded by the programme. The Commissioning Body (CB) approved a standard process based on the Communities for Local Government publication ‘A streamlined approach to assessing Value for Money and eligibility’ using the key measures of:

• Unit price (defined as the price per hour of support)
• Weekly number of hours
• Assessment of Quality of service
