Supporting People performance indicators

Every three months, Service Providers compile and return PI workbooks to the Supporting People team. What happens to this information?
  • Data is sent to Communities and Local Government (CLG): Providers upload the data onto the Supporting People IT system via SPOCC.Net, then a report is produced from the SPOCC IT system and sent off to the CLG. CLG impose a tight deadline on us which is why we have to obtain the data from PI workbooks soon after the end of each quarter. CLG analyse national and regional trends. Recently they have published some data comparing authorities.
  • Data identifies individual services with low availability of service and/or low uptake of places and helps us to examine the rates of planned move-on leading to independent living.
  • PI workbooks should include up-to-date information on the number of staff working in service delivery. This information identifies when there may be risk to service users due to staffing below contracted levels.
  • Performance information is reported quarterly to the Hertfordshire Supporting People Programme Development Group and Commissioning Body against targets for the county as a whole. Comparing the data to target performance, including breakdown of performance for services for different client groups, shows areas of performance which need particular attention in partnership with service providers.
