Ethnic monitoring

Ethnic monitoring is a way of finding out whether, and to what extent, people from the different communities living in Hertfordshire make use of our care services. To do this, we ask everyone using these services what their ethnic origins are.

We have a duty to provide services without discrimination, so we need to know whether our care services are used by everyone who is entitled to them.

Ethnic monitoring is part of Hertfordshire County Council's policy of opening up services to all citizens more effectively and efficiently.
