Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP)

The Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) is a single, inter-agency strategy that covers services for all children and young people living in Hertfordshire. The three-year CYPP was launched in April 2006 and the first annual review of the CYPP has just been published.
The Plan sets out:
- the vision that we have for our children and young people
- the key priorities and actions we commit to undertaking in partnership
- the improved outcomes we want to achieve for children and young people
The outcomes we want to achieve in Hertfordshire are built around the Government’s 5 Every Child Matters outcomes:
- Being Healthy
- Staying Safe
- Enjoying & Achieving
- Achieving Economic Well-being
- Making a Positive Contribution
The Plan will look at our performance for each outcome, and identify areas where we need to improve services and opportunities for children and young people.
By highlighting areas of need, the Plan will help to provide more focused services and better outcomes for children and young people in Hertfordshire over the next three years.
