What success will be like

Older people benefiting from improved health, improved quality of life, economic well being, more personal dignity and freedom from discrimination or harassment.

There will be more opportunities to make a positive contribution to society, through exercising choice and control.

They will be supported in their homes for longer. More older people will be engaged with and supported through the voluntary and community sector (ACS spends over £6 million in the voluntary sector) and will be able to manage their own care if they wish.

Avoidable hospital stays will be prevented and carers will be supported to continue to care for their relative/friend.
